Glossary
This glossary is different from typical ones. It is not just an alphabetical list of terms. For a more in-depth explanation, please read the introduction of "Anatomy by Planes," starting with Chapter One.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. There's a contact form on the "about the author" page.
Colors
In the "Anatomy by Planes" atlas, each color has a specific meaning.
Therapeutic Variables
Rather than evaluating, measuring, and treating the integumentary, muscular, and skeletal systems directly, I asses, quantify, and modify their therapeutic variables.
Each system has its combination of variables. And every variable has its own healthy or ideal range.
These ranges are, among others, system-specific, function-specific, use-specific, client-specific, and therapist-specific. For a football player and a concert pianist, for example, the ideal ranges differ. Be that as it may, please keep in mind that regardless of what your clients hope to accomplish, there’s a general, healthy range.
In the atlas, the variables are visible in the sidebars for skin, joints, and muscles. Here they are listed in alphabetical order.
For more on "therapeutic variables," see Introduction Chapter 5 and Introduction Chapter 5.1 in particular.
