The Anatomy by Planes, Clinic and Training Guide is a practical overview and companion to the Anatomy by Planes Atlas and literally refers back to it.

The guide condenses the 1000-page reference atlas into 140 pages of illustrations, graphs, and tables. It includes inter-complex relationships, motions, skin, muscles, and joints for each anatomical plane, and features an easy-to-navigate whole-body layout.

It shows that the integumentary, skeletal, and muscular systems—i.e., skin, joint, and muscle—and every other organ system intertwine and collaborate. Always. It illustrates that nothing works and happens in isolation.

Clinically, it states that treating and exercising a single muscle or joint is impossible. A muscle or joint does not exist in isolation. Other parts and systems are always involved. Muscles and joints cannot function on their own.

This connects directly to treating musculoskeletal pain. Understanding which structures and systems interconnect is essential for massage, soft tissue, and movement therapists.

Derived from the same extensive research as the reference atlas and based on the same anatomical planes of motion, this guide reiterates these points.

Last but not least, the Anatomy by Planes Atlas is a drag to carry around. It weighs a hefty 13 pounds. This guide is far more manageable.

I hope it is of use.

1 review for Anatomy by Planes Clinical and Training Guide

Here you go! Anatomy by Planes: Clinical and Training Guide, a companion to the Anatomy by Planes atlas. It’s a book to explain my other book. 🙂

It’s all science- and evidence-based, but without the sleep-inducing, monochromatic undertones. Instead, you’ll find lots of graphs, pretty posters, and colorful pictures. And only text if absolutely necessary.

Brilliant and effortless, just how I like it. I’m curious what you think. Download your free ebook and leave your review.
