Each complex is named after the plane it moves in and the joints or regions it includes. For example, the sagittal ankle, the frontal hip, the transverse thoracic, and the frontal rib cage.
Even if their names are alike, complexes are unique. The sagittal ankle is unlike the frontal ankle. And the sagittal hip is different from the frontal hip, which in turn, is different from the transverse hip.

The sagittal, frontal, and transverse hips are each unique.
